As there are in the rest of the City, there are important issues facing San Francisco Chinatown.

But too often Chinatown residents are not provided the same opportunities to participate in the elections and public policy decisions that affect their lives.

As part of our civic engagement work, Chinese for Affirmative Action is pleased to join a dozen community partners to co-sponsor a District 3 Supervisor Candidates Forum. The event will have Chinese language interpretation and translation.

CAA’s executive director Vincent Pan will be one of the two moderators to ensure the candidates — Julie Christensen, Wilma Pang, and Aaron Peskin — speak to the issues that matter most.

It should be a lively evening.
