The 2010 Celebration of Justice will be held on Thursday, June 10 at the Empress of China in San Francisco. The reception will begin at 6:00pm followed by the dinner & program at 7:00 pm.
The annual Celebration of Justice dinner is CAA’s largest fundraising event and features over 500 guests, including prominent leaders in the Asian & Pacific Islander, civil rights, and political communities. Each year, we honor key civic and community leaders, as well as present speakers who are diverse in disciplines and perspectives.

Beckie Masaki Co-founder and former executive director of Asian Women’s Shelter, who has led courageous and innovative advocacy efforts to end domestic violence within the Asian American community. Today, the multilingual and multicultural practices pioneered at Asian Women’s Shelter serve as a model for many diverse organizations around the country. |

Loni Ding (1931-2010) Pioneering filmmaker and university professor, who dedicated her life to shaping the media landscape for Asian Americans. Her groundbreaking and Emmy Award-winning opus includes The Color of Honor, Ancestors in America, and the two series Practical English and Bean Sprouts, both created in collaboration with CAA. |
