San Francisco, CA – Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA) applauds Supervisors Avalos, Chiu, Maxwell, and Mirkarimi for approving $400,000 to improve citywide translation and interpretation services during yesterday’s Budget Committee meeting. Just last night, the Budget Committee of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors approved $400,000 to improve citywide translation and interpretation services, based on recommendations made by CAA to increase language access in the City. CAA applauds Supervisors John Avalos, Carmen Chu, David Chiu, Eric Mar, Sophie Maxwell, and Ross Mirkarimi for their support.

City Government Notices will Combine English, Chinese and Spanish (World Journal)
San Francisco Board of Supervisors president David Chiu and Rules Committee chair David Campos are serious about a bill that will be heard in the Rules Committee on the 30th which would provide language services to the City’s non-English speaking residents.
